carlo abbruzzo

Carlo Abbruzzo is President and Senior Employee Benefits Consultant for Abbruzzo & Associates Insurance Agency. He began his career at Sentara and Optima Health System, the premier integrated health system in Virginia as a Medicare Marketing Manager in 1990 and was then promoted to lead a newly established Group Sales Department a year later. Mr. Abbruzzo left the health care conglomerate five years later to join the consulting firm of B&W Benefits Planning Company which specialized in providing Consulting Services to Municipalities, School System and large maritime employers. He founded Abbruzzo & Associates in July 2000. He is a graduate of Temple University.
Carlo is actively involved with employers in designing, implementing and overseeing strategic program design, cost containment strategies such as alternative funding mechanisms for both self-insured and fully insured benefits, consumer driven health plans, and wellness and population management programs to name a few. In addition, he also works with national benefit plans helping to design strategies to maximize efficiency such as pooling arrangements, consolidation of local plans and utilizing international based plans when necessary.
As a member of the National Association of Health Underwriters (NAHU) which represents 20,000 professional health insurance agents, brokers and consultants, he was recognized by The Leading Producers Round Table and has qualified to receive the Association’s prestigious Golden Eagle Award. The Golden Eagle Award is the highest recognition bestowed upon an individual who has demonstrated professional excellence in in his field. He has served on Congressman Glenn Nye’s Health Care Advisory Board in 2010 during the Congressmen’s two year tenure. A Board Member since 2009 of the Eastern Virginia Association of Health Underwriters (EVAHU), Mr. Abbruzzo served as the Legislative Chairman where he actively meet with Virginia’s Congressmen, Senators and their aides. He’s been active in several other capacities such as the HUPAC Chairman for two years and currently serves as their Media Relations Chairman. Additionally, Carlo serves his local community as an active member of his church and coached his three boys in youth sports with a focus on soccer.

Stacey Fales

Stacey Fales is Vice President and Senior Human Resources Benefits Consultant for Abbruzzo & Associates. Stacey has over 20 years of combined human resources and employee benefits experience, and an expertise in providing innovative and effective HR solutions to meet complex business needs. Stacey received her Bachelor’s Degree from Cornell University in Labor Relations in 1994 and her MBA from Queens University in 1999.

She began her career at Rexam, a global packaging company in 1994, where she held roles in HR and Benefits Administration, at both the site and North American corporate responsibility levels. In 2001, Stacey moved into a leadership role with Colfax, a US based manufacturing company, where she had responsibility for leading the HR function including compensation and benefits programs. In 2005, she joined AP. Moller Maersk, where she held multiple positions including head of Benefits for North America, Vice President Human Resources for North and South American Port Operations, and most recently as the global head of HR operations.

Stacey has extensive experience in working with business leaders on designing benefits and overall total compensation programs, including executive and incentive plans that align to the business strategy and culture. In addition to providing benefits consulting, Stacey leads Abbruzzo & Associates Human Resourcing Advisory Services. These include HR information systems, performance management, incentive& rewards programs, labor law and compliance, expatriate program management, employee relations, HR policies and acquisition/divesture support.

Stacey is an active member of a number of professional associations including; Society for Human Resource Management, National Association For Female Executives, HR Policy Association, Conference Board, BEERG, Corporate Executive Board, World At Work and the International Foundation Employee Benefit Plans
